Garbage and Recycling: All households will be provided with two carts. The cart with the DARK BLUE lid is to be used for trash. Trash service will occur weekly on MONDAY.  The cart with the LIGHT BLUE lid will be used for recycling. Please open the link below for a list of acceptable materials for the recycling cart - NO GLASS IS ALLOWED. Recycling services will be provided EVERY OTHER MONDAY.
If a Holiday falls on your collection day of Monday, your pick up day will be on Tuesday.  The calendar link below highlights the dates recycling service will take place in grey.
Please ensure you place all of your materials out at the curb by 6:00 AM on your collection day.

TAGS for Appliances, Electronics, Furniture and Tires:  Appliance and electronic tags are $20 per unit available at Farley Municipal Building.  
Furniture tags are $10 per unit and Tire tags are $6 per tire and available by contacting Kluesner Sanitation at 563-927-5977.

City Wide Clean Up Days: During the spring and fall the city offers a city wide clean up day. The city charges the current landfill fees for pickup of appliances; other bulk waste is picked up free of charge. If you would like to dispose of a large item between clean up days, you may purchase a tag for $1 at City Hall, and put that on your item to be picked up with your normal Tuesday garbage pick-up.

Carts: If you did not receive a set of garbage and recycling carts, or your cart is missing or broken, please contact City Hall.
